Further to our earlier report on the viral marketing campaign heating up for Christopher Nolan’s third and final Batman film ‘The Dark Knight Rises‘, developments in the last 72 hours have whet fan-boy appetites even further.
Three videos have sprung up on the ‘TheFireRises’ YouTube channel entitled, ‘GCN’, ’419′ and ‘Outbreak’ show glimpses of The Breakfast Club‘s Anthony Michael Hall (whom many will remember as The Joker’s hostage from The Dark Knight) reading at a news desk on the report of a breakout from notorious Gotham institute Arkham Asylum. We won’t crap on any more except to say the whole eerie first-person, police radio, Guantanamo Bay, burning taxis, highrise bonfire stuff leaves so much to the imagination, it hurts!
I don’t know if he was part of the Dark Knight viral marketing, but Anthony Michael Hall’s character was in a bunch of prequel videos that are on the Dark Knight DVD, in which he talks to different Gotham characters on his news/interview show. They’re about five/ten minutes long, there’s five or six in total, he talks to Aaron Eckhart as Harvey Dent, Nestor Carbonnel as the Mayor of Gotham, Eric Roberts as Sal Maroni, and a few others.
Also, at the end of “Outbreak”, I could’ve SWORN I heard Jeff Bridges in the gaggle of voices.
What gives? “The video is no longer available because the uploader has closed their You Tube account”???
