Here’s the first pic of Sacha Baron Cohen as his latest cinematic creation, The Dictator.
The official storyline from distributor Paramount details the piece as, ‘The heroic story of a dictator who risks his life to ensure that democracy would never come to the country he so lovingly oppressed.’
Shooting in Morocco, Spain and the United States, Cohen is joined by Sir Ben Kingsley and Anna Faris (who beat out Kristen Wiig and Gillian Jacobs) playing a supermarket worker, and probable love interest.
Released May 2012 in the US, expect a mixture of controversy and kudos as the thin red line of fact and fiction may be the narrowest Cohen has tread compared to Bruno or Borat.
